Please Touch
Station Beirut · Curated by Agial Art Gallery·2014
Tactile PerformancesPlease Touch brought together around twenty sculptures created blindfolded, alongside an interactive living-sculpture performance and an expressionistic film. Visitors were invited to encounter the sculptures through touch and in darkness, shifting the experience of sculpture from sight to tactile perception.
The project explored the role of touch in artistic creation, its relationship to memory, and the boundaries between body, sculpture and viewer. What if you have to touch to see?

An expressionistic film portraying the artist’s emotions while sculpting blindfolded in the dark. All sounds and images are extracted from her universe. Directed by Muriel Aboulrouss, produced by Denise Jabbour, edited by Liliane Hanbali.
